eleanor at 15 months: a day in the life

My post last week on being a stay-at-home mom got me thinking about just what day-to-day life looks around here. Eleanor was only 3 months old the last time I did a “day in the life” post, so I figured it was time to do a little updating. My little girl is busy, busy these days – I’ll let her tell you ALL about it!

7:00am – Gooooooood morning! I wake up just about the same time everyday ready for my milk and breakfast! I love eating my “o’s” and I always need a banana to get my day started! My mom keeps trying to switch me to cow’s milk, but almond milk is SO tasty!

day16
After breakfast, I get dressed, brush my teeth (yay), and get my hair done (boo). Then it’s time to play! I LOVE feeding and cuddling my baby and now that I’m a big girl, it’s fun to zoom around the house with my popping toy!

day20
I also like hanging out with my puppy Ruby – she and I both fight over the big fuzzy chair and who gets the best view out the window.

day15
Sometimes I sneak away and get into what my mom calls “mischief.” I’m not sure what that means, but it sure is fun!

day1
At about 9:00, I start getting tired and rubbing my eyes. Sometimes I have to remind my mom that it’s nap time by going to the stairs and saying “nigh nigh.” She says she uses this time to blog.

day22
I like to keep my mom on her toes, so I never nap the same amount from day to day. Usually, I’ll try to keep it around an hour because then it’s snack time! Yum! I’m getting really good at using my spoon and fork, and mom even gives me open cups to drink from so I can be just like her!

day13
Right after snack, we head out for our daily adventure. Mom tries to plan something fun every day. Sometimes it’s a trip to the library to get new books, story time, a morning at the zoo, or even some time to play at the Children’s Museum. I LOVE getting out of the house to see new people and explore new places!

day17
When we get home, it’s time for lunch! Lunch is my biggest meal of the day – all that exploring makes a girl hungry!

day8
My daddy works from home, so on a lucky day, he has time to come upstairs and eat with me. It’s very exciting to see my daddy in the middle of the day. Sometimes I want to ask him to play, but Mom says I can’t knock on his office door because he’s “working.”

day6
When he goes back to work, I blow him kisses to let him know I love him!

day11
And sometimes it makes me sad to say goodbye :(

day7
Mom tells me that at 1:30 it’s time for another nap. She might be right, I’m pretty sleepy by then. She’s always happy to give me extra snuggles if I wake up tired.

day18
After my nap, I get another cup of milk and a snack! I’m a growing girl!

day9
Then I’ll do some reading – I love any classic literature about trains, dogs, or babies!

day19
There’s more time for playing…

day21
And mom turns on Toddler Radio for a fun dance party…

day14
Sometimes I want to go outside, and mom says “no” – that’s NOT my favorite word!

day12
But when daddy gets home, we almost ALWAYS all go outside to swing – weeeeee!

day5
Then before I know it, it’s time for dinner!

day10
I take my puppy for a walk every night. Mom says we all need our exercise.

day4
Then it’s time for my bath – I have the coolest water toys!

day3
Then I brush my teeth, put on my jammies, and mom reads me some books before I go to bed at 7:00.

day2
Phew, what a day! Being 15 months old is exhausting! My days are full of fun, snuggles, and new things to learn!

Your turn:

What does a day in your life look like?
